Daido Moriyama

The photographer I chose is Daido Moriyama. All of his photographs are gelatin silver prints. I was told by a friend that he places the camera at his chest when taking pictures. He does not look through the viewfinder. I found this to be extremely interesting and also extremely helpful in his photographs. Each photo had a unique, peculiar look, whether it may be its composition or tonal range. His work seems spontaneous, (sometimes) abstract, and even documentary. I hope you enjoy his work as much as I do.
